Dear Friends, hope you have been having
a very happy holiday season. I’ve been enjoying taking some time off to be with my family & relax and refresh my
spirit. I’m still on a kind of “semi-vacation” until after my birthday (January 1st),
but I did want to take a moment to let you know what a truly MOMENTOUS & SPECIAL
event this New Year’s Eve will be, energetically & astrologically speaking.
Not just one, or two, or even three
special events will be taking place this Thursday, but FOUR.
First of all, there is
the fact that it is New Year’s Eve, which in and of its self is significant. Although
New Year’s Eve is not an “astrological” event per se, the power of the collective consciousness in the Western
world has “energized” this day and made it a “pivoting point” from where it is possible to easily
launch off into tremendous change….”Out with the old, in with the new”, and all that good stuff.
Secondly,
there is a FULL MOON occurring at 2:13 pm Eastern Time on this New Year’s
Eve. That means that the energies are going to be AMPED UP to their highest
possible levels on this day. But this isn’t just *any* full moon…it is actually a BLUE MOON.
A “Blue Moon” is what we call it when there
is a second full moon in a single month. (The other full moon this month was on Dec. 2nd.)
Probably you’ve heard the expression “once in a blue moon”. If you want to get
technical, that means about once every 2.72 years. Our last “blue moon” took place on May 31st,
2007. Now we are going to have another one at 2:14 pm Eastern Time on New Year’s Eve (this Thursday,
at least in the US).
Having a “Blue Moon” on New Year’s Eve is quite a rare occurrence. In
fact, according to one source I read, it only happens once every 19 years. (The last one was Dec. 31st,
1990.) That’s quite unique indeed!
What’s the significance of the “Blue
Moon” occurring on New Year’s Eve? I believe that EVERY blue moon has
a “magical & momentous” quality to it, since *all* blue moons occur
on a full moon, and the full moon embodies the HEIGHT & CULMINATION of cosmic energy.
Since a “Blue Moon” is actually a “double” full moon in a solar month, or an “extra”
full moon (depending on how you want to look at it), then I believe that *all* Blue Moons provide us with EXTRA ENERGY…energy that can assist us in the manifestation process (if we are spiritually conscious),
or energy that can turn destructive when left unharnessed (if we are spiritually UN-conscious, or if we choose to try to *repress*
or *resist* the energy).
Now, with this Blue Moon occurring on New Year’s Eve, it just has
to have extra significance. I don’t believe that these things happen by “accident”
or just mere “coincidence”, and I doubt that you do either, or otherwise you would not be reading this
“newsletter”. After all, any celestial phenomenon that happens every 19 years on one of the
most celebrated holidays in the Western Hemisphere (New Year’s Eve) is clearly “programmed” in as part of
the cosmic pattern.
My sense is that this particular “Blue Moon” occurring on New Year’s
Eve 2009 is amplifying our intentions & giving us a TREMENDOUS boost to help us change. This
is, assuming of course, that we are receptive to change and willing to cooperate and do our part to assist and work with the
Universal Forces in our life. If not, well, then you must just experience this New Year’s Eve “Blue
Moon” as a major kick in the you-know-what.
