Divination & PsychometryDo You Want to Learn About Divination &
Psychometry?
Dear Spiritual Psychic Development Friends,
I’m sending this little note out to you because I would like your input about our “Spiritual Psychic Development”
class that is coming up this next Saturday. As you probably have heard by now, we will be having our special
“Awards Ceremony” for those who are receiving class certificates in the latter portion of the class. However,
during the rest of the class, we will be holding class as usual, which means that we will have our usual channeling, along
with a lecture, perhaps a little bit of meditation, and some kind of activity. One thing that I am thinking about doing on Saturday is demonstrating
for you how you can combine psychometry with divination to make your card readings, rune readings, tea leaf
readings, palm readings, and astrology readings all the more powerful. However, I know that I have done
many “demonstrations” the last couple of classes, and I don’t want to bore you by just doing the same thing
again (although, I suppose that demonstrating a combined psychometry & divination reading would be something
“different”). This is why I think it might be helpful to get some input from you on this matter…. Are you interested in learning a little bit about how to combine psychometry & divination?
Are there any of you that are doing astrology, palmistry, tea leaf, rune, or card readings on your own that would be
interested in learning a few tips about how to incorporate psychometry into the practice? I realize that
with it being spring time now, all of you are probably incredibly busy. Some of you may not even open this
e-mail. Among those that do, probably only a few of you will actually take the time to respond.
Nonetheless, your response is very important to me on this matter. Even if only a few of you take the time
to write me to let me know that you are interested, then I will take that as a sign to “go forward” with my plans
on teaching you about psychometry and divination, and especially to do a few “demos” on at least one or two tools,
showing you how it works (at least for me) I know that for me personally, whenever I am doing a divination reading for another, I rely
heavily upon my skills of psychometry. In fact, I probably rely MORE heavily on my psychometry skills then
I do on my actual knowledge of the “tool” I am working with. For me, it is as if I allow my
fingers and aura to find, sense, and interpret the “real” story that is emanating from the tool that I am using.
Even when I read an astrology chart for a client, I spend the first few minutes of the reading running my hands over
the charts with my eyes close, and just letting the energies of the charts themselves speak to me (really). If you think this would be something good
for us to cover in Saturday’s class, if it is something you are interested in and feel you could use in your life, then
you might just take a moment to write me back and let me know. If you are shy, you can write me privately off-list at cynthia@cynthiakillion.com. Or, if you don’t mind sharing your interest with the rest
of the group, you can just do a “reply” to this e-mail and let me know you are interested, and perhaps also share
a little about your own thoughts if you have any experience of your own with combing these two.
Since this is our last class of the “Mediumship Hands-On” unit, I would very much enjoy sharing with you
what I know about using psychometry to enhance your divination readings, as I feel that the mediums of today are very likely
to employ the use of a divination “tool” in their day-to-day lives. However, before I finalize
my plans on teaching this at Saturday’s class, I first want to make sure that there enough of you who are interested,
as this is definitely taking us outside of the realms of so-called “traditional” mediumship, and forging new
traditions.
Let me know if it sounds like something you are interested in, or something you could use in your daily practice as
a “Hands-On” medium. Many Blessings,Cynthia

Info on CertificatesInfo On "Certificates of Completition" for
Attendance at Live Classes
Dear
Spiritual Psychic Friends, I just wanted to take a moment to discuss the issue of class certification with
those of you who are currently attending our live classes, or have done so in the recent past.
When you have been at class in the past, you may have noticed that when you “check-in” at the door, we
record your attendance. One of the main reasons for this is because each unit, Sunset Church offers “Certificates of Completion” for students who complete at least 3 out
of the 5 classes for the unit (students who have “perfect attendance” are given an
additional special designation on their certificates).
These certificates recognize your commitment & steadfastness in developing on your spiritual psychic path.
However, they also serve another function. If you ever decide to apply for ordination as a Spiritualist
Minister through Sunset, the credits you receive by attending these classes *do* count towards fulfilling the requirements
necessary to become a minister. Of course, I know that most of you
are not necessarily thinking that you would like to be a Spiritualist minister right now. However, you
never know what the future may hold, and should that calling arise within you at a later date, it will be helpful to have
your “Certificates of Completion” documenting your “semesters” of study in our classes.
So……if you want to receive your certificate for this unit, make sure that your name is either checked-off
on the list when you go through the check-in line for each class, or if for some reason your name was not on the list, make
sure your write it down at the end of the list. Also, make sure that you attend at least 3 classes in this
unit. And if you wish to have the “Perfect Attendance” designation on your certificate for
this unit, then please make sure that you attend all five classes. Blessings,Cynthia
P.S.
One more thing you might want to know on this matter….there is a “Make-Up
Clause” if you are just one class short of “making it” for either the “Basic Certificate
of Attendance” or “Perfect Attendance Certificate”. What this “Make-Up Clause” says
is that if you missed one of the classes that you need to receive either of these certificates, then you can “make up”
that class by purchasing the class materials for that class (CDs + printed packet) and reviewing them on your own (“scout’s
honor” here).
This “Make-up” clause is basically designed for the almost-perfect attenders (4 out of 5) who need just
one more class to get the “higher level” certificate, or for those who come in later in the unit and need to make-up
at least one more class to get the “Basic” certificate. If you need
to “make-up” a class, please let me know, and I will help you get the materials you need. The
cost for “make-up” materials for a class is $30 for the CD set, and $20 for the packet and/or whatever class materials
were presented for that class. Make-ups for this unit need to be completed no later than the end of May.
One
other thing….for those few advanced students who have led developmental circles for class weekend before (Jamie, Miki,
Erik, Patti, Debbie and others), I would suggest to you to document the number of circles you have led (during class weekend),
their dates, and maybe even the approximate number of sitters in attendance during each circle. Although the church does
not currently have an official “policy” regarding your role as circle leaders, it might be possible that acting
as a circle leader could count as additional “credit”, should you wish to pursue ordination at some point in time
in the future.

Feeling drained & tired after a reading?FEELING DRAINED & TIRED AFTER A READING OR PSYCHIC WORK? Hello there dear beautiful psychic
group. I was reading an earlier post on our yahoo "Spiritual Psychic" group from Bonnie,
who brought up an interesting point. She wrote that since she has been practicing doing readings & psychometry again,
she has found herself getting "drained & hungry" sometimes. As I have a said before MANY times in class, this kind of work can take a tremendous amount of energy. That is why
it is important to exercise, eat right, practice deep breathing, and basically just GET & STAY GROUNDED. In fact,
as you will recall, I worked with all of you for several classes on gettting grounded before we ever got into any serious
mediumship work. The reason it is so important to get "grounded" is so that you do not "burn out" once you
begin to open up to the higher energies. Basically, grounding prepares your chakras & aura for the intense multi-dimensional
shifts you experience when you tune into the non-physical realms of reality. This is why for all of you, I encourage
you to keep practicing your grounding, even as you continue to open. In regards to the issue of being "hungry" after readings or psychic practice, I would
like to address that specifically....
What I have found is that the reason we are often hungry after doing a psychic reading or healing is that the minerals
in the body are burned up quickly during the process of psychically shifting. This is why many psychic healers
and energy workers are known to keep a bottle of liquid minerals nearby to drink after they have done a healing session.
It also helps to take a bath in epsom salts or other kinds of mineral salts from time to time. As you become more
practiced at actually "tuning in" and doing readings (or just getting guidance for yourself), you will find that
it drains you less and less. In fact, after awhile you become used to it, and then you get to the point where you feel
quite EXHILARATED from doing a reading. (This is how I am able to do nearly back-to-back readings all day at camp.) It is a lot like
building up physical stamina and endurance. I know that when I first started taking Zumba classes, it used to really
wipe me out. But now, I often come home from Zumba with increased energy from the experience (albeit it, usually a little
bit sore), and might find myself getting in an extra hour or two of studying or writing before I go to sleep. Of course, even
when you get to the point where you feel exhilarated from doing readings, it is still VERY important to stay grounded.
Remember that grounding is a spiritual connection with the earth and your own body. We *need* this connection.
When you are properly grounded, you actually draw upon the earth's energies to power your psychic work, which means that you
will find the whole process MUCH less draining. If you think you might need a review on grounding, please refer to your "Curriculum
Notebook" from unit 1, the class CDs from Class #3 in unit 1. Also, there was information covered about how to "ground"
using the "releasing excess energy method' in Unit 2. If you have the CDs from unit 2, this was probably in Class
#1 or 2 of that unit.
Some
of this information would also be listed in the 35 page "Unit 2 Class Summary & Review" that is still listed
on the "Class Review" section of our "Spiritual Psychic Development" website (it won't be there for much
longer, so if you haven't downloaded this review booklet yet, and you want it, you should head over there & get it SOON.)
Hope you found this helpful & informative! Looking forward to
being together in class again on the 19th! Many Blessings, Cynthia

Announcing Our New Theme NEW UNIT THEME: A HANDS ON APPROACH
Dear Spiritual Psychic Friends, I hope that you are having a good week, and keeping yourself warm on this
extremely cold winter day. I promised I would write you with a little “sneak preview” of our
new theme for the classes in the upcoming unit, so here it is.
First of
all, we will be continuing with our mediumship studies, as we have still barely scratched the surface on this subject.
However, we will be taking a different approach in this new unit. You’ve had the “basics”
of mediumship and are starting to get a grasp on the traditional ideas of mediumship and what it means to be medium.
Now, it’s time to take the “kid gloves” off and take a more “hands-on” approach….literally.
The
theme for this new unit is “Mediumship II: A Hands-On Approach”.
When I say “hands-on”, I mean this both figuratively and literally. Figuratively speaking,
this “hands-on approach” means that now you have been introduced to the “basics” of mediumship, we
can go a step further, and teach you to implement the practices of mediumship in your day-to-day life. The
expression “hands-on” is also used literally here, to refer to the practices of psychometry
and psychic healing, which both rely heavily upon the actual use of the physical hands. Basic psychometry was introduced
at the end of the last unit. I hope to go further with this psychic skill in this unit, and to teach you
the more advanced aspects of this practice. Depending on the rate and speed at which our group completes
our psychometry lessons, we may also progress into the beginning of psychic healing in this unit (or, we may save that for
the next unit). In any case, the “hands-on” mediumship approach that I am sharing
with you here will provide you with the tools for gathering psychic data in nearly any type of setting.
In addition
to covering various aspects of advanced psychometry (and possibly introducing psychic healing), we will also begin exploring
what it means to be a “modern medium”. In fact, you might even consider “the modern medium” to be our sub-theme for this unit, as in the “hands-on”
approach that I am teaching you (and the idea of integrating mediumship skills into daily life, rather than keeping them separate)
is a very contemporary approach. In our last class of the previous unit (November), we did some introductory work with psychometry.
The exercises we did were fun & enlightening, and for most people present, just enough to demonstrate that we all
have SO MUCH further to go in getting to the place where we understand how to do psychometry well and also how to use it in
relationship to mediumship.
As you will soon see, psychometry is a truly
“hands-on” psychic skill that can be employed as part of the everyday routine of the modern medium.
It is not just something that you use when you are “doing a reading”, but rather it is something that you
can utilize to be more aware & “in-tune” during the course of your day-to-day life. In
this next unit, you will learn that psychometry is about much more than the hands, and involves using your consciousness to
reach out and touch aspects of the non-physical realities all around you.
If you have studied psychic development for awhile, you may think that you have already studied what I am going to teach you
on psychometry (and other “hands-on” skills). You haven’t. Nobody
teaches psychometry like I teach psychometry, at least, not that I have ever met or heard of. In fact,
I don’t think that even I have ever taught psychometry like this before, as I had to dig deep down inside myself
to “bring through” the vast reservoir of knowledge that I am planning to present to you in the classes & the
packets in this upcoming unit. Truthfully, much of what I am planning to teach this “semester”,
I didn’t even know that I knew it, until I sat down and started meditating & thinking deeply on it.
So there it is…that’s my “master vision” for this unit. Now that we have the vision,
the details will begin to unfold in perfect Divine order by themselves.
Hope you enjoyed this
“preview” :) I’ll be in touch with you further about our class sometime next week, if
not before then.
Bright Blessings, Cynthia Killion, Spiritual Guide

New Material Added to Review PageUNIT 3 MEDIUMSHIP INTRO CLASS REVIEW EXAM NOW AVAILABLE
Dear Spiritual Psychic students, this is just a little note to let you know that I have
posted a Unit 3 "Review Exam" for you on the "Class Review" page on this site. This is to help you
"brush up" on your mediumstic-psychic knowledge. This is an 8 page review with 115 questions, most of them
multiple/choice and true/fals. I would suggest PRINTING the review then actually completing it (or at least looking
it over).
I think that you will find even just reading this review to be quite helpful, especially since it has
been nearly two months now since we have been in class together (due to our holiday break). As you know, we cover new
material in every unit, so it is important for you to keep up with what has been learned in previous units. That way,
you don't arrive at the January 22nd class totally lost!
Please note: The answers to the exam are NOT included.
I may provide a separate answer sheet on this site or in class at a later date. However, for now, I would like you to
use your class notes, innate reasoning, and memory to see what you can recall from the unit on your own.
