and Spirit Signs

Signs from the Other Side

We are now moving more deeply into Scorpio season, as well as the season of Samhain and Halloween. The seasons are changing, the nature and land spirits are on the move at this time of year, and the spirits of the Ancestors and the Undead walk louder and closer than before…

 

The veils between the worlds are thinning more and more with each passing day. The webbing that connects the different dimensions is becoming more pronounced, as messages and signs from the Other Side and the Other Realms are popping up with greater frequency and strength.

 

But one must have discerning eyes to see and alert ears to hear when the signs appear, for the messages from the Other Side are often overlooked and seldom recognized by those who are too caught up in the discord of earthly cacophony.

 

In order to recognize the signs that are being given to you, you may need to learn to look at things in a different way, or to notice what is visible on the periphery, rather than always being distracted by what is calling out loudly for attention….You must learn to listen with a more highly attuned ear, so that you hear the messages and the songs that are singing underneath the louder voices.

 

 In order to reap the benefit of the signs & the spiritual guidance that is flowing forth from the Spirit World right now, one must also have a heart that is open and willing to listen and BELIEVE.

 

For even once a sign is recognized or spiritual guidance is received, it is so tempting and so easy for the human heart to discredit, to turn away, to de-value the guidance, to refuse to believe. 

 

It’s not that this is the ONLY time of year that the Spirits are calling out to us with guidance and with signs. But rather it’s just that this is the time of the year when we can usually hear their calls more clearly, for They walk closer to our world at this time, and their guidance is more easily accessible.

 

HOUSES CAN BRING SIGNS

 

The Other Side and the Other Realms can speak to us in so many different ways, through nature, music, conversation, visions, dreams, messages from other people, and basically any other mode of communication that is available.

 

I am prone to receive messages from the spirits in many different ways, sometimes varying according to the time of the year.

For example, I am more likely to have psychic dreams in the fall and the winter, although they can happen for me at any time. Often, I receive messages through Nature, perhaps because I am more relaxed and at ease when I am out in the fresh air and around the plants and other living creatures. Lately, I have found that even my house has been giving me signs….

 

Just a few weeks ago, we had a torrential rain storm that lasted for hours. This was one of those storms where you have crashing lightening and really loud thunder for hours, a classic Kansas super thunderstorm. 

During this time, I had fallen asleep on the couch in the living room, and was awoken by a loud splattering of water near the fire place area. Water was dripping loudly from down the chimney. I have never seen this before-quite possibly because it has never (or at least, rarely) rained this hard here in all the years I have lived here.

 

Thankfully, I was able to deal with the situation by simply placing a bowl under the leak, and the water stopped leaking shortly after, when the rain lightened up a bit.

 

Later, I realized that the house is trying to tell me something with the leak that came down through the chimney. (Something beyond get the chimney resealed, that is.) The message to me was that there was some area of my life where things aren’t quite sealed up or protected, something that is undone or unprotected….

 

A couple of obvious projects come to mind when I think about loose-ends and possible things that I have left undone recently and need to wrap up soon. But then, I am also wondering if there is some greater task that I have left undone, something relating to my higher mission that I have yet to tend to. (?)

 

I don’t yet have the answer to that, but I am keeping my eyes open and my ears turned up. I am listening to the Spirit World, and I am looking for the signs. I am open to guidance and direction.

THE VEIL HAS THINNED

  

As I am finishing up this writing for you, Halloween and Samhain have now come and gone, and we are planted firmly in the early part of November. The veil between the worlds is no longer getting thinner, it has thinned. The Spirits and the Ancestors are here to stay for the winter with their other-worldly presence.

 

Now, it’s not just the Spirits that walk between the worlds, for in the beautiful and ever-shifting liminal landscape of November, we too walk in their worlds, and the Unseen feels closer than ever before.

 

It’s going to be a great month.
